Bo Brownlee, CFA

Bo Brownlee, CFA

Bo is a portfolio manager at SECOR, responsible for public equity, private equity, and equity-related alternative beta manager research at SECOR. He has over 30 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management as Director of Global Equity Strategy and Trading. Bo holds a BA in Urban Studies and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.

Scott Carroll

Scott Carroll

Scott is the Director of Operations at SECOR, responsible for day-to-day trade support, position and cash reconciliation, cash and collateral management. In addition, Scott oversees the fund administration relationships for the firm. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Citco Fund Services, Tudor Investment Corp., QFS, Inc., General Motors Asset Management and DuPont. Scott holds an AS in Accounting, a BS in Financial Management, and a MBA in Finance from Goldey-Beacom College.

Kam Chang

Kam Chang

Kam is the Head of Client Advisory at SECOR, leading our client advisory team and business development efforts. Kam is also the Head of our UK and European business. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management in a variety of portfolio management roles for multi-asset, fixed income portable alpha, and alternative high yield strategies. Kam holds a BS in Finance from New York University and an MBA in Finance and Management from Cornell University.

Erik is a Director of UK & Europe based in London, with responsibilities in the client advisory and manager research teams at SECOR. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Russell Investments and General Motors Asset Management as a portfolio manager in the fixed income and strategic solutions team. Erik holds a BA from Boston College and an MBA from Cornell University.

Florence Fong-Lopez, CFA

Florence Fong-Lopez, CFA

Florence leads our public and private fixed income and credit-related alternative beta manager research team at SECOR. In addition, she is a key contributor for our property and event-driven hedge fund research efforts. She has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management as a Director in the Credit Markets Group and Ambac Financial as a Senior Portfolio Manager of the municipal bond portfolio. Florence holds a BA in Environmental Science from Barnard College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.

Scott Freemon

Scott Freemon

Scott is the Head of Strategy and Risk for the advisory and solutions business at SECOR. He leads our efforts in investment policy and hedging strategy design for multi-asset clients. In addition, Scott is instrumental in the development and ongoing improvement of SECOR’s portfolio construction, asset-liability management, and multi-asset risk analytics. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management where he created their first complete set of Strategy and Plan-Level risk management capabilities and helped build a successful third-party advisory business. Scott holds a BA with Distinction in Economics from the University of Rochester and an MBA in Analytical Finance from the Kellogg School of Management.

Kenneth Frier (Palo Alto Office)

Ken is co-head of SECOR’s West Coast office in Palo Alto, co-portfolio manager of the Mazu Global Equity Fund, and member of our investment strategy team at SECOR. Ken has over 30 years of investment management industry experience, including serving as Chief Investment Officer at The Walt Disney Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, Stanford Management Company and the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust. Ken holds a BS in Mathematics (honors) from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA (Arjay Miller Scholar) from Stanford University.

Matt Gillis

Matt Gillis

Matt leads our exposure management and implementation at SECOR, responsible for the execution of client initiatives for our investment advisory and solution clients. He has almost 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management as manager of investment operations for global public markets and State Street Bank & Trust Company as a manager responsible for daily valuation within the defined contribution business. Matt holds a BS in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from New York University.

Pattie is the Chief Compliance Officer at SECOR. She also serves as General Counsel for SECOR Capital Advisors, LP and advises SECOR Asset Management, LP (SECOR’s parent company) with respect to all partnership, employment, contract and other general matters, as Counsel. She has over 20 years of industry experience, including time at LRN, Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc., and Debevoise & Plimpton. She holds an AB from Stanford University and a JD from the University of California at Berkeley.

S. Pinar Ilgar, CPA

Pinar Ilgar is the Chief Financial Officer at SECOR. She has almost 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Sixty Capital, Partes Capital, Mountain Lake Investment Management and Aslan Capital. Pinar holds a BS in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.

Michael is a portfolio manager and researcher at SECOR, responsible for research, development, and day-to-day management of various fixed income, credit and related volatility strategies. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Michael holds a BS in Computer Science from Peking University, China, an MBA with distinction from New York University, and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Rakesh is the Chief Technology Officer at SECOR, responsible for all aspects of our technology initiatives. He has over 30 years of industry experience, including time at EigenSystems, LLC, Archeus Capital, and Citigroup. He holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India.

Anoop leads our public equity, private equity, and equity-related alternative beta manager research team at SECOR. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at IBM Retirement Funds as the head of global equities, SEI Investments and General Motors Asset Management. Anoop holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India and an MBA and MS from New York University.

Eric is a software developer at SECOR, working with the front and back office to build out the platforms necessary for trading and portfolio construction. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University and a MS in Information Systems from New York University.

Dan Mannion

Dan Mannion

Dan is the Head Trader at SECOR, responsible for trading across a variety of derivative and physical markets. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time in the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he traded over a dozen macro strategies across a variety of markets and managed IT and infrastructure projects to improve operational efficiency. In addition, Dan spent time at Caxton Associates, and Campbell & Company. Dan holds a BS in Finance from Penn State University.

Parth is a portfolio manager at SECOR, responsible for managing various derivative overlay portfolios, hedging strategy design and portfolio construction for clients. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Citigroup. Parth holds a BS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

Tej is a portfolio manager at SECOR, responsible for research, development, and day-to-day management of various systematic equity index and currency strategies. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Tej has a BSE in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Craig is a portfolio manager at SECOR, focusing on systematic asset allocation and event driven strategies. His experiences prior to joining SECOR include time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Craig holds a B.S. in Statistics and Economics from Duke University.

Gino is a portfolio manager and member of the client advisory team at SECOR, responsible for client relationship management and business development. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Segal Advisors as Director of Research, UBS Paine Webber, and Neuberger Berman as a portfolio manager on the mutual fund wrap platform. Gino holds a BBA in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University. In addition, he is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Ryan holds a B.S. in Economics (Honors) from Caltech and an MS in Mathematics in Finance from New York University.

Dmitri is a portfolio manager and leads our derivative overlay portfolio management team at SECOR. Dmitri has over 20 years of investment experience, including the management of global macro and GTAA portfolios at Citigroup, Man Financial, Bleecker Street Capital LLC, and General Motors Asset Management. Dmitri holds a BS in Statistics from the University of Illinois and an MBA from New York University.

She has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Edgar Sullivan, CFA

Edgar Sullivan, CFA

Ed is a senior strategist on the investment advisory and solutions team at SECOR, responsible for macroeconomic research and analysis. He has over 50 years of investment management industry experience, including time at General Motors Asset Management, where his principal responsibilities included the management of all asset/liability studies and oversight of the Global Tactical Asset Allocation program, asset mix/cash management and GM’s “Broad Scope Mandate”, a separate multi-billion-dollar pension portfolio incorporating state-of-the-art investment concepts. He holds two graduate degrees in economics and finance from Iona College, an MBA from New York University, and a PhD from the City University of New York.

Gretchen Tai (Palo Alto Office)

Gretchen is co-head of SECOR’s West Coast office in Palo Alto, co-portfolio manager of the Mazu Global Equity Fund, and a member of our investment strategy team. Gretchen has over 20 years of investment management industry experience. Prior to joining SECOR, she was Chief Investment Officer of Hewlett Packard Company, overseeing benefit plan assets of HP and its affiliated companies. Gretchen holds a BA in mathematics (magna cum laude) from Wellesley College and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Reha Tutuncu

Reha is the Chief Risk Officer at SECOR, responsible for risk budgeting and risk management of SECOR portfolios and strategies. He has over 20 years of investment management industry experience, including time at AQR Capital Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Computational Finance and the co-author of the book Optimization Methods in Finance. Reha holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University and a PhD in Operations Research from Cornell University.

Bernard is a portfolio manager and researcher at SECOR, responsible for research, development, and day-to-day management of various quantitative commodity and volatility related strategies. He has over 10 years of investment management industry experience, including time at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Buck Consultants. Bernard graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Mathematics from Yale University and has his M. Phil. in Mathematics from New York University.
